The Placitas Garden Tour is a charitable non-profit 501-(c)-(3) organization. It is dedicated to putting on an annual ticketed tour of exceptional gardens in the Placitas community for viewing by the public. Proceeds from the tour benefit our participating volunteer organizations, currently the Sandoval Master Gardeners and the Placitas Community Library. If you represent a local volunteer organization, are willing to offer the help of your volunteers for the annual tour and would like your organization to benefit from a portion of the proceeds from a tour, please contact the Placitas Garden Tour to discuss (Contact Us.)

Current Participating Volunteer Organizations:
The Sandoval County Master Gardeners are volunteers trained by New Mexico State University horticultural specialists and instructors under the guidance of Sandoval County Cooperative Extension Service to provide better gardening techniques to the community with the latest, most practical horticultural information available.
The Sandoval County Master Gardener Program began in 1995. There are 11 counties in New Mexico and the Navajo Nation Extension Service with active Master Gardener programs.

The Placitas Community Library represents a grassroots effort to establish a permanent library in Placitas. We engage the community by bringing residents together to participate in establishing and maintaining the library and its collections. We believe that our library contributes positively to the development of community pride and spirit.
We provide and promote open and equal access to our resources and services in order to meet the informational, educational, technological and cultural needs of our diverse community in a welcoming, convenient and responsive manner.

We live up on mustang mesa and HorseshoeMesa, if we have participants in 2022 we would appreciate parking in one side of the street vs both. We had trouble along with others navigating large vehicles through the vehicles. Please consider this. We would appreciate this.
