We love our public volunteers and need your help. Please sign up for the upcoming annual garden tour and attend a recommended orientation and garden training session approximately two weeks prior to the scheduled tour date. Your volunteer participation and expertise makes our tours a success with both the garden owners and the touring public. Sign up for your preferred shift. You will receive a free pass to tour the gardens during you off-shift and an invitation to a post tour “thank you” reception/ party.
Volunteer positions include garden docents/ specialists, garden greeters, tour day ticketing, and garden parking management.

HERE IS WHAT IS NEEDED:
- ATTEND THE GROUP ORIENTATION AND GARDEN TRAINING SESSIONS on Saturday August 29, 2026, with orientation at 8:50 a.m. at Las Placitas Community Library in the Gracie Lee Room, 453 NM -165 Placitas, NM, followed by training at your assigned garden from 10:15 a.m.
- CHOOSE YOUR PREFERRED SHIFT – Select which shift you prefer to work on Sunday, September 13, 2026: the morning shift from 9 a.m.–12 p.m. or the afternoon shift from 12 p.m.-4 p.m. There are 2.5 hour shifts available for those helping with tour day ticketing and garden parking management.

The Placitas Garden Tour, an annual garden tour event, is organized by the Placitas Garden Tour, Inc. a 501(c)3 organization. Proceeds from the tour benefit the volunteer organizations that participate in the annual garden tour, including the Sandoval Extension Master Gardeners and the Placitas Community Library.
