Gardens and artwork are similar in that they are composed in harmony with a series of shapes, forms, colors, and textures. We invite you to watch the artists as they express their artwork in the gardens. The 2026 Placitas Garden Tour will invite a select group of local artists to “create” their magic in each of the gardens.
All of the artists’ personal works will be on display for sale at the Placitas Community Library on the day of the tour.
This is a very special opportunity for you to own an original work of art at the 2026 Placitas Garden Tour. The artists are working in collaboration with the Sandoval County Master Gardeners & the Placitas Community Library to raise funds for future landscape projects & educational programs in Placitas.

2026 Artist Bios
Linda Novy-Doll
Linda will be at garden #3 Transitions.
Kiln-formed glass is Linda Novy-Doll’s encore career and passion. After retirement, she began pursuing art, including color theory, painting, and eventually kiln-formed glass. She fell in love with the complexity of glass, which includes heat, chemical reactions, design, form, and color…the marriage of art and science. All of her work is unique and one-of-a-kind. Linda is a perpetual student and continues to expand her knowledge.
Linda has been a glass artist for 11 years. She has studied with numerous world-renowned artists. Linda strives to learn and perfect new techniques through education and experimentation.
Alex Athens
Alex will be at will be at garden #2 A Garden in Harmony.
I’m Alex Athens, an artist deeply inspired by the beauty of the outdoors and the expressive power of oil painting. Capturing the vast differences in light and weather across all seasons brings me much joy and adventure. Being in nature and being surrounded by it and painting directly from it brings a peaceful experience and a more true style of painting. I have used photography for landscapes but I find a lot of information is lacking.
In addition to landscapes, I specialize in commissioned portraits, capturing the beauty and essence of people. Using direct observation as a foundation as well as some photography, I strive to convey not just appearances but the soul of my subjects.
I also enjoy experimenting with vibrant neo colors, bringing a playful and modern twist to my work.
Kyle Hollingsworth
Kyle will be at garden #4 Working with What You Got.
After a 20-year career in advertising, film, and television in Los Angeles, I moved to Placitas with my husband three years ago and my love for music and art has grown, inspired by the peace and beauty of Placitas. I’ve been drawing and painting since the age of three and my craft continues to grow and evolve. I’m always learning and love to play with many mediums.
Every brush stroke is an act of faith and boldness. I find harmony in shape, color, texture, and form, creating layer upon layer with no plan. I stay open to what wants to come forth in each new work, and I allow myself to dive into a flow state where anything is possible.
My work often includes my trademark circular shapes made of large, colorful strokes and fine details of mark making and illustrated components.
Kyle works and lives in New Mexico with her husband, a composer and producer, where they create, perform, and record their own music, offer sound healing, and meditations. Together they share a playful life with their two dogs, Scout and Foggy.
Tamara Harder
Tamara will be at garden #5 A Place of Shadow.
I am a self-taught artist and I grew up on the central coast of California. My childhood was spent at the beach, roaming the hills on my pony or helping my grandma in her garden.
I began my clay journey around 2005 when I wanted to make glazed ceramic pieces to include in my mosaic art.
I really enjoy the feel of the clay in my hands and the way it takes impressions. I use a lot of different things to build textures in my work and half the fun is experimenting with found objects to see what happens.
This has evolved into pictures that I construct by pressing a variety of twigs, grasses and other plant bits into a slab of clay.
Little by little I build up the image until it feels right. I use rocks to make the mountains and I often include a bird perched in the tree as a symbol of the spirit.
I love making these special one of a kind pieces and my heart goes into each and every one.
Christine Brunet Lecomte
Christine will be at garden #1 Wildlife Sanctuary.
Christine Brunet Lecomte was born in Lyon, France to a colorful family of painters, musicians, and silk manufacturers. The Brunet Lecomte family founded the Lyon silk factories centuries ago. Being immersed with her family’s creativity and her grandmother’s love for flowers and nature, she very naturally began drawing at an early age.
In 1971, Christine came to New York to study textile design at F.I.T (Fashion Institute of Technology) and pursued her passion for fine arts at the Arts Student League, where she studied with David Leffel, Robert Beverly Hale and others. Since then, Christine has exhibited and sold her work privately in South Africa, France, the French West Indies, New York, San Diego, CA and New Mexico.
She donated her work to fundraisers for the Kingston Benedictine Cancer Society, Doctors Without Borders, a Haitian Orphanage, and the Kenyan Water Purification Project.
She now lives in New Mexico where she pursues her passion for Fine Arts as a full-time artist.
